Quilt Block of the Month
Make It Sew’s quilt Block of the Month will run January through December of 2019. Each month, instructor Jan Lowry will choose a block from the Quilt Block Cookbook and in a 3-hour class, provide instruction for students to complete the block. It’s a great class for new quilters or anyone who wants to practice their skills and create a sampler. After 12 sessions, students will have enough blocks to make a quilt top, selected from the designs in the Quilt Block Cookbook or by the student’s choice. Or, quilt blocks may be turned into other items like totes, pillow covers, or smaller quilts/throws.
Students will practice skills including cutting methods and ¼” seam allowance, and will learn to make common shapes like “flying geese” and “half-square triangles.” They will learn various quilt piecing techniques including applique and paper piecing.
Class meets the last Tuesday of the month, each month, starting on January 29, from 5:30-8:30 pm. Fee is $350 and can be paid in two installments.
Once you have completed the online registration form, you will receive an invoice by email. Your spot is guaranteed after payment is received.
